Hello, my friends! Happy New Year! It is finally New Year’s Eve and I just wanted to take a few minutes and reflect on 2016. It hasn’t been an easy year, and I didn’t get to do everything I have wanted to do, but I did still accomplish a lot! Below is my short and sweet, 2016 year in review!
This year I focused on sewing and style through my DIY projects. Some of the things I can say that I did that I feel really proud of, is that I started a YouTube channel for the blog, which was a goal of mine for 2016. I also started a business, which I ended up having to close down, because it didn’t do so well. You probably noticed that I had a shop towards the beginning of the year, but I wasn’t able to keep it going, so I shut down the shop after several months. I am not worried though, because I don’t plan to quit trying until I find success.
I know that I did not make as many outfits as many of the bloggers I follow, but I made 8 stylish articles of clothing, and I think for anyone that is still an accomplishment. In other areas, I think that my Instagram account has improved and so has my photography, which was also a goal of mine for this year. Lastly, I created a pattern, which is something I have always wanted to do. I haven’t digitized it yet, but I have been working on perfecting it. The goal for 2017 would be to digitize it, and perhaps offer it to the public if things go well.
For 2017, I have quite a few goals in mind for the blog, personal life, and for some other projects that I have in mind. I look forward to what the new year has to offer and I wish everyone a wonderful new year full of blessings, love, and peace. Cheers to a new year!
